**SWPLL FIELD UMPIRE TRAINING REQUIREMENTS (age 13+):
• attend SWPLL Field Training (3/17/24)
• attend On-Field Trainings (Apr 4, 5:30-7:30pm at Markham field)
• attend LL District Umpire Training OR attend D-Bat Classroom
**SWPLL PLATE TRAINING REQUIREMENTS (age 15+):
• satisfy field requirements (above)
• attend D-Bat plate training.

B. LL District Umpire Training - 03/16/2024 Sat 8am- 4pm Fowler Middle School*** (bring lunch).
C. Plate Training (plate umpires only) 3/17/24, Sun 2-6pm - location: D-Bats**
D. On- Field Trainings: We will officiate two scrimmages the first week of April.

Umpire Registration
The follow are required to be an umpire for the 2024 Spring season:
- Complete the required concussion training here.
- Complete the umpire registration by clicking the Volunteer button form here. (Parents MUST complete this for umpires 18 or under). Unfortunately, our programming doesn't have a way to change the words on the buttons so most of the buttons to register to umpire are inaccurate. Here are the steps for a parent to complete the registration for a minor, under the parent account:
1. Go into your account. 2. From the Home Page, Click Place Order. 3. Click Add Enrollee and register your child as a Parent. 4. Now go back to Place Order and register them as a Volunteer, choosing Umpire for both the Offering and the Enrollment Selection. From there, you can choose the address where your check will be mailed and upload the concussion completion certificate. This year Little League also added an Abuse Awareness form. Even though our kids should probably be completing the Awareness for Minors training, unfortunately the Umpire certificate is only offered under the Awareness for Adults training. This should be uploaded as well.
- Attach your concussion training completion certificate, abuse awareness certificate, and government issued id during registration. If you do not have an ID please attach a school ID.
- For umpires 18 and over only: Complete the background check: Shortly after you have registered, you will receive a notification email to complete our background check process. This email will have the subject line ‘SW PORTLAND LITTLE LEAGUE Background Questionnaire Notification’ and will come from SW PORTLAND LITTLE LEAGUE <automation@instascreen.net>.
- Complete Umpire Training. (you will be contacted about this training if you are a new or experienced umpire.)
